DESCRIPTION: For rapid, thorough
monitoring of floors, the T/A model BFM-1 Floor Monitor combines three
thin window GM detectors to form an over-lapping uninterrupted coverage
twenty-four inches wide. A full inch of lead shielding in all directions
but down minimizes any effects of changing general background. The
lead shield may be rotated forty-five degrees to allow the detectors
to ``see'' baseboards. The heavy duty ball bearing casters have
replaceable rubber tires should contamination be a problem. Built-in
loudspeaker and 3-range meter contribute to speed and accuracy of
system. A separate probe is included for checking personnel, etc.
